I'm really loving this slipper-shoe trend. They're comfortable, luxurious, and for me, a very welcome move on from ballet flats!
I am always interested in trends and what drives them.
Our economic climate has an enormous effect on fashion (more on this in a future blogpost)
This is especially apparent in footwear. There is a return to the basic and home spun. And lets be honest you can't get much more basic than wearing slippers as shoes!
Don't be fooled though, there is more luxury involved with these shoes. There is a touch of King Louis and his court about them. I imagine all the royal males wearing this style of shoe many moons ago! :-)
