In times of uncertainty... beauty.

I've noticed a real turn to all things retro this Season. I think this has a lot to do with the economic down turn as people seem to be looking  to what is familiar when all the other areas of their life are full of uncertainty. There's something for everyone with remnants of the 50's, 60's, 70's and 80's... So what look are you leaning towards?

Are you going to channel ponytailed sweethearts (and their circle skirts) when test-driving Autumn’s ’50s-inspired separates...

Louis Vuitton Runway Collection A/W 2010

Or swing into a sunshine state of mind in the season's mod minishifts and brocade bell-bottoms...

                              Miu Miu Autumn/Winter 2010

Or redefine power dressing in buttery silks, luxe trousers, honey-colored fur, and sleek neutral accessories...

                                 Chloe Autumn/Winter 2010

Or make like a Depeche Mode Girl and relive the band’s “Personal Jesus” video with fantastic fringe, ’80s cowgirl boots, and God-fearin’ jewels...

Moschino Autumn/Winter 2010

Well, I've never been a girl who could be pinned down easily so I'm not really sure which genre these looks fall under but here are some of the looks I'm lusting after...

                   Isabel Marant Autumn/Winter 2010

                    Burberry Prorsum Autumn/Winter 2010

And this is my very personal favourite. I adore the mix of textures here-wool,tweed,frothy chiffon and a big  leather belt to finish it all off... Deeeelish!!! :-)

Ralph Lauren Autumn/Winter 2010

Here's the Marc Jacobs show. I just had to include it so you caould all get a look at the exquisite clothes. But more than that, the music-sooooo clever, quirky and beautiful... just the way fashion should be! :-)
